The African History Month Ireland begins.  This year theme is “AFRICANS here we are”. The Africa History Month Ireland 2013 is kicking off with this great event and we want everyone to support us in celebrating Africans Presence here in Ireland.

Afro in Diaspora Center is a new group of women, committed to supporting Women, Men, youth and Children in (AFRICA) and also to support ourselves by educating, informing, counselling, socializing and promoting each other as a group, while we hope and believe that the knowledge acquired will be passed down to support others

 Our Mission Statement

We want to surround ourselves with women who respect other’s view and treat other’s with respect and having value for women, also to invest into people’s life positively and promote positive image of Afro women. We love to come together and share and we believe our lives are greatly enhanced by the women we surround ourselves with through giving, investing, impacting, networking and integrating.

Afro in Diaspora Center was initiated here in Ireland since 2010 by the CEO Susuana O.M Olatunji-Komolafe in recognition of the contribution of all African that has lived or still living in the Republic of Ireland, who have played a positive role and make an impact in the Irish society. As Africans we share history with Africans Americans, African British living here and back home as they also celebrate Africa America History/Black History Month.  With the aim of allowing our youths, children and the young generation, understand the beauty of their roots and staying strong in addressing the opportunities and challenges of being a minority in Ireland. We also hope to use African History Month Ireland as a unique occasion to celebrate the Beauty and Culture of the African people on a grand scale while also honouring Eminent and distinguished individuals who have positively affected the lives of Africans living in Ireland primarily and the entire Diaspora in general
